Focus and Scope
The Virtual Journal Direito Brasil will be dedicated to publishing scientific articles directly related to the legal field. There will be three areas of coverage: disciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary.
The articles will be submitted to the Evaluation Committee and their final review will be the responsibility of the Editorial Board.
Section Policies
Articles and Book/Media Reviews
It covers interdisciplinary scientific texts relevant to the academic community interested in the themes developed by the authors.
Editorial
This section aims to present the epistemological matrices that guide the journal based on the proposal for dialogue between different areas of knowledge through its interface with legal science.
Interviews
The main objective of this section is to publish interviews related to legal education.
In memoriam
The section aims to endorse the importance of scientific productions carried out by highly experienced jurists.
Periodicity
Biannual publication in the months of July and December.
Archiving
This journal uses permanent archives for preservation and restoration.

Journal History
The Virtual Journal Direito Brasil reaches Year 3. This is the first virtual law journal produced by a collection of scientific productions by a higher education professor.
Despite the contingent and strong academic potential, the number of scientific publications is decreasing. That is why, in 2007, the Virtual Journal Direito Brasil was conceived, almost as a romantic dream, by Professor Maria Bernadete Miranda.
The purpose of the Virtual Journal Direito Brasil is one: to enable the dissemination and democratization of scientific knowledge. To this end, in 2007, a website was created to provide broad access to all those who needed and/or wanted to obtain the journal's content at http://www.direitobrasil.adv.br/index_arquivos/Page702.htm, where the complete archive of the journal's issues was deposited in PDF format.
The Editorial Board is responsible for developing and monitoring the journal's scientific quality policies and criteria, and for evaluating the papers submitted for analysis and publication, and is responsible for verifying the editorial line and proposing the journal's scientific quality policies and criteria.
The birth of a Virtual Magazine is, without a doubt, a reason for pride and celebration, especially because “books do not change the world, people change the world. Books only change people”.
The Virtual Journal Direito Brasil is born now, and will remain forever, immune to time, consolidating knowledge and reflecting the functions expected of Professor Maria Bernadete Miranda, which are teaching, research and extension.
The next objective will be indexing in other national and international databases, mainly in Scielo.
Our desire was simply to be useful to everyone.
May this virtual creation be illuminated by God, the Almighty, who is Light, is Science, is Law.
